National Cadet Corps (NCC) of Naval Wing (Junior Division) NCS(K) Sub-unit is under 7 Kerala Naval Unit NCC, Ernakulam. Cadets belonging to the age group of 13-18 (preferably) are eligible to join. Parade training and other NCC activities are conducted twice a week. Cadets are given opportunities to participate in important functions like Social Service Activities, Republic Day, Sports Day and the Annual Training Camp, Pre-Republic Day Camp and Republic Day Camp. NCC provides many incentives to the cadets like cash incentives, scholarships, prizes and medals, academic incentives, career opportunities, risk cover of cadets etc. By participating in NCC, students develop character, discipline, leadership, courage and a spirit of adventure.

The school has established House System aimed at fostering team spirit and healthy competition among students. The students are divided into four Houses, namely Bose (Yellow), Gandhi (Red), Nehru (Blue) and Tagore (Green). Each House is headed by a House Captain and two Vice-Captains and a member of the teaching staff acts as the House Master/Mistress.
